Popup Video Round 2

Popup Video Round 2

After clicking on the link to watch my video after I had posted it, I found that the finished product didn’t match my pre-saved view.  So, I redid the video.  I’m a perfectionist and found that even by typing in the exact times I wanted events to show, they still didn’t match on the final product.  So, I went back and watched the “finished” video while going back to edit times based on the “finished” video.  This final version works better!

Popup Video

Popup Video

I used a BBC Planet Earth video to make my Popup Video.  This was a fun activity and I can see myself using this for my student’s videos at the end of the year.  I added mostly text or popups, but I did find one picture of people dune skiing.  I hope you enjoy this video!

Digital Storytelling Story

I created a movie of our visit to the aquarium at Sea World San Antonio in June 2013.  We love watching the fish and had fun trying to kiss a fish.  I make a movie for my class each year with pictures of students as a memory for them to keep.  I usually use Movie Maker, but for this movie I used Picasa.  I find that I like Movie Maker better because of the user friendly interface.  I had more difficulty with Picasa, but that may be because of my familiarity with Movie Maker.  Sea World San Antonio

Animated GIF

I tried to create an animated gif using the sites suggested and hit a wall.  So I used http://www.makeagif.com and created the following gif.  I found it difficult to find pictures that match enough to make a good looking gif on the makeagif site, so I will be trying to create one by editing layers again.  Who knows, it may work.  I’ll let you know if I can get it done correctly.http-__makeagif.com__media_7-02-2013_hUAet3

Lego MadLib

Lego MadLib

Hi!  This is my first blog post about Digital Storytelling.  I really liked the story of Lego MadLib because it represents what I live every day.  My children love to play with Legos and I love MadLibs.  I have Lego pieces all over my house.  I pick them up everywhere; out of baskets, off the floor, under the couch, everywhere!  My degree is in English, so I love playing with words and enjoy the comedy that MadLibs create.
